Flamingo Gardens Orchid Society is a completely volunteer society.  As FGOS members we have several opportunities throughout the year to volunteer in our community. The FGOS Board of Directors spend many hours volunteering for the society; buying plants, networking on behalf of the society, board meetings, set up/tear down at meetings, etc.  It’s not only the Board of Directors who volunteer, our members volunteer too.  Some assist in setting up our food table at each meeting, some volunteer judging and announcing ribbon winners for Show & Tell. We need volunteers at our annual events: Flamingo Gardens Garden Festival & Bonsai Show, Flamingo Gardens International Orchid & Bromeliad Show and our Society Auction.

Volunteering for the society meetings and events is a good way to meet and enjoy other society members. It’s also a way you can share your skills and expertise with others.  Volunteering is also a way to give back to our communities.
